14 Oct 2017 : Coaching Courses

Are you interested in improving your coaching skills?

The ECB offers various cricket coaching courses including an introductory level “Coach Support Worker” course, designed to equip you to assist qualified coaches, and “ECB Level 2”, which allows you to lead coaching sessions.

The Club strongly encourages members and parents to undertake the courses and will provide practical and, if appropriate, financial assistance to any wishing to do so.

Courses run through the autumn and winter and further details can be found on the ECB website.

Please also feel free to contact Paul Howard (07703-694366, paulnhoward@btinternet.com ) or John Hall (07941-949846, hallj6@sky.com ), who have completed the ECB Level 2 course in the last couple of years, if you have any questions about any aspect of the courses.

04 Oct 2017 : Help needed with club winter close down; Saturday 28 October

Dear Member,

Now the season is done, we have to pack our toys away and make the ground ready for winter.  We are doing it this year on 28 October

Tasks include dismantling and storing the nets, storing the sight screens, packing away all the equipment and cleaning out the kitchen

In previous years we have managed to complete the tasks by 2pm supported as we were by a small team of volunteers

If you can give up an hour or two at any time between 9.30am and 2pm we will whizz through the tasks and all be home in time for tea

As before there will be the Early Bird breakfast between 9.30am and 10am and a light lunch from 12.30pm

Please let  me know if you can help so I can plan the tasks and victuals accordingly

Kind regards
